Rough Rider Teddy excels at keeping peace on his continent, and Magnificence Catherine can use luxuries to overwhelm the world with culture and tourism. In addition, pack three has new World Wonders and a new map, pack four has new City States and "numerous new Great People", pack five has a new district and two buildings, and pack six has new World Wonders and a new map.Īs a bonus for getting the pass, new 'personas' for Catherine de Medici and Teddy Roosevelt will be available with the release of the second pack. Pack three's game mode requires Rise and Fall or Gathering Storm, while the remaining three game modes don't require any of the expansions. Packs three through six don't have the civ names announced yet, but three has two civs, packs four and six have just the one each, and pack five has one civ and two leaders (not clear if that's two leaders for that civ, or one for that civ and one for an existing civ) one of which requires Rise and Fall (which certainly suggests some possibilities). Releases continue roughly every two months. Pack two in July features Ethiopia, a game mode requiring Gathering Storm or Rise and Fall, a new district and two new builds. Pack one, due out this month (21 May), features Maya and Gran Colombia, a game mode that requires Gathering Storm, new city-states, resources and natural wonders. "Game modes can include additional content such as new units, buildings, or improvements and can be turned on or off during game setup to apply significant and dramatic changes to the rules of the game." The six packs will be released over the next year, and give 8 new civs, 9 new leaders, and "a variety of new gameplay content" including 6 new gameplay modes (one in each DLC), though some of those modes also require one of the existing major expansion. Media reports give the US price as $39.99 for the pass.
